I can't believe I'm at the end! It still seems very surreal. 3 weeks and 2 days until my c-section!
The girls are doing great! Last week I had an ultrasound to get their measurements and they are measuring a week ahead! 5 lbs. each! Which was great news since they have to weigh 5 pounds before they leave the hospital...as long as everything else checks out ok :) It made me so happy to see them on the ultrasound screen, Baby A had the most perfect profile and Baby B had the sweetest baby Native cheeks which she obviously gets from Daddy (see pics below). I was hoping they would check my cervical length but they didn't. I guess they stop doing that after 32 weeks since the babies are so much bigger and sitting a lot lower now, especially with twins. Which I can definitely feel. It's weird, I thought I would be feeling a lot of kicking and poking and pressure on my ribs but I feel it mostly on my hip and pelvic bones. Their movements are so strong now!
Baby B I feel the most. She sits the highest and closest to the surface. I can feel her head and limbs and see every movement they make. I think she rubs her feet together like her Daddy does. She gravitates to my warm coffee mug when I sit it on my belly. She kicks away anything else that I set on my tummy like a book when I'm reading to Kainen or anything else that she knows doesn't need to be there. I can feel the entire form of her body when I have a contraction which is kind of weird but fun. With all the movements she makes she still seems pretty mellow but I feel like she might demand more attention than A.
Baby A sits lower and further back and is also covered by her placenta so I don't feel her movements as much which makes it hard to make out her personality. I think she's a bit more mellow than B because her movements are soft and slow and not as frequent. I feel her little hands rubbing across my skin right where my waistband sits. She reacts to Baby B's strongest movements and...ok, this might be too much info but with all their movement it works out a lot of gas and the other night I let out a pretty loud one and, poor thing, made her jump! I woke her from a pretty sound sleep I think. Gave me a pretty good laugh, still does :)
Anyway, I keep hoping that this day will come sooner but with each day passing it's coming up so much quicker than I thought. Soon we shall meet our sweet girls, Priya and Anya!
