2011

Gosh, where has the time gone?! I feel like we were just debating whether we should say two thousand ten or twenty ten...this last year went by so fast for me. Too fast I think. I don't really have much to say about it which is sad to me...I should.

Kainen will be turning 5 at the end of the month! He started preschool in the fall and already he has grown so much. He never fails to make me proud each day. I can't wait to see where life takes him! My goal for this new year is to encourage his creativity and imagination. I don't do enough with him individually. More projects, more activities, more reading.

Miles, oh boy...Miles. I was looking at pictures a few weeks ago to put our year in a book for family and my has he changed. You can see it in his face...no more chunky baby cheeks to suck on, no more gummy smile. He's talking and repeating everything! He's so smart. He figures things out real quick especially when it comes to computers and cell phones!...there's no such thing as child lock for this boy. He knows what he wants and he'll get it. I love him and so proud of how far he's come!

Dave and I have had a real good year. We celebrated 5 years of marriage in August! I think, like a lot of people say, our first few years were the hardest but this year we kind of snapped out of it and have really appreciated each other and just set aside our differences and didn't sweat the small stuff...why didn't we listen to that advice when we first got married, I don't know. We've been through a lot together. We have so much to be thankful for and I think we are really, finally, seeing that.

I'm determined to make this year a good one. I really would like to focus on family. My Mom is now an 1hr. 45min. away, my sister just moved about 3-4 hours away and I just found out that another will be a 5 1/2 hr FLIGHT away! It's getting harder to see each other and I really don't want to get disconnected...like I have with my relatives in Michigan and now even the ones that are only a drive away. Anyway, family is important to me so it will be at the top of my list this year! ...among the typical: eat healthier, work out, be a better person and so forth :)

Hope this New Year is full of adventure, accomplishments and just plain FUN! for all of you!
