Miles' Surgery

Sorry, I should have done this sooner. To those of you with facebook accounts this is exactly what I wrote on there so you probably already read it...

Miles' surgery went well. He had two hernias that needed repaired, nothing major. It took 3 hours, a little longer than expected but it went well. He also got circumcised...two birds with one stone. I was a little worried because he would be 'knocked out' and would have to have breathing support and caffeine so he wouldn't have any apneic events during or after the surgery. With him being so young I was a little worried about something happening. I was expecting him to be very graugy (sp?), really out of it, maybe even on oxygen. I thought he would have trouble eating again. It was the total opposite. He came in the room with his head lifted high over the nurses shoulder. His eyes were wide open. Wider than I had ever seen. Very content and happy. Almost seemed happier and more comfortable. He gobbled up a 4 oz. bottle and stayed awake for hours upon hours. I could almost feel him laughing at me thinking 'what were you so worried about Mom?'

We came home the next day at noon. Back to our normal lives with only Tylenol to add to our list of medicines...thank goodness and just a little extra work while changing his diaper. Thanks for your support and prayers!
