In August Dave and I celebrated our TEN YEAR anniversary! Crazy, right?!
We took a trip over to Friday Harbor for 5 days and my amazing sister-in-law, Aleah, and my brother watched all four kids (adding to their four)!
We realized that this was our first getaway, just the two of us, since our honeymoon! What? Why?! I dunno.
Here are some pics
We stayed at the Juniper Lane Guest House just outside of Friday Harbor. It was so welcoming and we highly recommend it!

We let ourselves in and they had a note waiting with our key.

All the little tiny pins are people who visited the guest house from all over the world!

Practically right above our patio was an eagles nest. We saw the adult eagle maybe twice all week but th baby eagle was our alarm clock every morning and thought the day. It was fun watching it. The only picture I could get was through the binoculars.
I won't put in all our touristy pics but there were some amazing views that I want to share.
The first night we just grabbed dinner and then watched the sunset.

The next day we went to American Camp, hiked Young Hill and then to English Camp. These are views from American camp.

Young Hill

This is the only picture I got at English Camp. This tree my siblings and I sat on when we were younger, lined up from oldest to youngest (all 5 of us). I tried to get up with Dave but my 32 year old self failed to jump high enough.
The next day was our actual anniversary. We started off at the beach. The weather was iffy so that didn't last long and then we walked around Friday Harbor. That evening we took a 2 hour evening sail with a group of people (the weather ended up cooperating) and it ended up being the best way to celebrate! We sat at the front so it didn't even feel like other people were there.
