Miles

Miles, that little stinker knocked out his front tooth. We were in Target, all 6 of us, just getting out of the house after being stranded in the snow for a week. He was wearing his braces which make him a little more unstable and clumsy. He and Kainen were goofing around next to the cart and he got hold of the cart, stumbled, body twisted and fell. Knocking his tooth right on the metal base of the cart. Dave looked down and saw blood and then his tooth laying on the ground. Panic set in since he was g u s h i n g blood, his whole mouth red. Not a drop on the floor though. It all soaked into Dave's clothes. We were going to go to the ER but the bleeding stopped so Dave made a few calls to see what we should do. Everyone said to wait until tomorrow to go to the dentist. Which we did. Since his tooth fell out completely and didn't break he will, and has, healed up fine. His other front tooth is still loose so I'm wondering what will happen with that one in the near future.

As far as his braces go he's doing good with them. Still willing to wear them, which is good since his PT wants him to wear them 6 hours straight, if not more, for at least 3 days a week. With his braces off, he tip-toes a lot and likes to swing his legs out when he's running instead of bending and stepping forward. With his braces on, his feet are a lot more flat but he turns his toes in. I'm anxious for some progress. It seems like we're at a stand still right now. So I need to practice some patience.
