School Daze

Well it's another chapter in the James family book. Kainen starts kindergarten next week! It doesn't seem that long ago that I was in the hospital bringing him into this world. When people say that it goes so fast it IS the truth! I can't believe how fast he's grown, how smart he is and how much he has turned into this...little man! There is no other little five year old like him. He is so special and it's exciting! I can't wait to see what he will be like as a teenager, if he'll go to college, what career path he'll decide to take, who he'll marry...oh boy! Getting too far ahead. For now I suppose I'll get through kindergarten.

I'm nervous. I'm scared for him. I worry about his first bus ride mostly. Will he get on, will he know where to go when he gets off, will he know which bus stop is his when he comes home? Are the kids going to be nice to him? Will he have trouble making friends? I know most of this will pass after the first few days or weeks but it's tough. I'm glad I can still get around for his first day at least. To see him off and maybe even follow the bus to school :) That's one of the first things I thought about when I found out I was pregnant. What if I'm not there for him on his first day? I would feel so guilty and sad. I'm glad we put him in preschool last year so he could get used to that environment at least.

We'll be going to his school for the open house next Tuesday so maybe that will help him ease into it a bit. We shall see! To be continued...

<3 I felt my little beebles ALL day yesterday! Kicks and punches on my left side, left lower abdomen, under my belly button, right above my pelvic bone and WAY down low by my cervix. That one made me a bit nervous but I guess that's normal for women carrying twins. It will be interesting to feel all that movement even a month from now.
